Best Apex Legends Settings for 2022 & how to enable Autoexec

Overview of Apex Legends.

The latest season in the game, Season 11 of Apex Legends brought forth many new changes that were received well by many fans. If you want to get an edge against your opponents in the game, it’s best to consider making changes that’ll let you find the balance between performance and quality, and we’re here to help you with that. Even if you don’t have a high-end PC, these settings will grant you the most performance while maintaining the visuals that’ll result in crispier-looking visuals and will let you spot enemies easily.

The best settings for Apex Legends in 2022.

In order to make the game smoother and more beautiful, we have mentioned the best settings that you can try to enhance both graphics and performance at the same time. Do remember that these settings won’t apply to the console version of the game. Aside from modifying in-game settings, you can also make changes to Steam settings that’ll further tweak the game’s performance. Follow the steps below to do it.

1) Launch Steam and then go to the library, after that, right-click on Apex Legends, select Manage, and “Browse Local Files”.

2) The game’s folder will launch. Open the “cfg” folder and rename the “config_default.pc.cfg” to “autoexec.cfg”. Open the file and press Ctrl+A to select all and press backspace to delete everything and enter these settings in the file.

cl_fovScale “1.7”
hud_setting_pingAlpha “0.150000”
bind “0” “reticle_color -5 -5 -5”
bind “9” “reticle_color 255 255 700”

Save the settings and right-click on the file, select “Properties”. After this, tick the “Read Only” option, and click on “Apply” and then “Ok”. This is to make certain that the game doesn’t wipe out the Autoexec settings. After that, right-click on “Apex Legends” again and select “Properties”, in the launch options, enter the following line “+exec autoexec -dev”. If you want to make your game colorful, open the NVIDIA Control Panel by right-clicking on the desktop and selecting it. Click on “Adjust Desktop Size and Position” and make sure to enable the highest refresh rate, after that click on “Adjust Desktop Color Settings” and set the digital vibrance to a higher value. Now, click on Apply once you’ve set that.
