It is one of the leading esports games that many streamers and players play around the globe and is very light on system requirements. Like any other multiplayer game, Valorant also has glitches and bugs that can give everyone a headache, like the significant lag and FPS drops that is caused by pressing Alt+tab. As PC users, we all alt-tab to message friends, watching movies or videos. This is inevitable for every one of us and last thing we need is the game having desync issues in matches. Is there a fix? Continue reading the article to know more about the game and how to Alt-Tab faster in Valorant.
The cause of the glitch in valorant?
Maintaining servers and optimizing the game can be very challenging for Valorant devs and sometimes few things get broken in the process, which is likely the case. FPS Drops, lags, and server issues are a normal occurrence for multiplayer games, but rarely there is a chance that Alt Tabbing breaks the game and Valorant is on the short end of the stick for this.
A Reddit user by the name of QuilinnLegend brought forth this issue on how alt-tabbing causes increased ping adding 150ms, which is unacceptable and makes Valorant unplayable. Riot games are looking into the issue and what seems to be causing it. In the meantime, Riot has urged players to avoid pressing Alt+tab if they can.
How to fix Alt-tabbing in the game?
Players are annoyed by this glitch where they can’t use alt+tab in the game to minimize it and use other apps on their PC. Well, luckily few managed to come up with a workaround that we have mentioned it below.
- To fix alt-tabbing, right-click on the valorant.exe file and click on Properties, and select the “Compatibility” tab.
- After that, check the “Disable fullscreen optimization”
This will fix the alt-tabbing issue in Valorant, however, do remember that if you’re streaming the game, there will be a slight input lag that might be uncomfortable for you. If you’re someone who streams Valorant, you’re better off leaving this option. Windowed fullscreen will increase the input lag so you shouldn’t use that option as well.
