[official update] EA Origin Down : Origin chat service down & not working for many users

For Feb 18 update : Origin servers down ; EA origin down (not working) for many users

If Origin is not working for you or throwing login problems, fret not, as it is down for many users. Many users are currently facing login issues & connectivity errors.

It seems like Origin is having some technical issues, which can also be noticed on the outage tracking website, Down Detector. Have a look at the current outage map down below.

@EarpSista My internet has been down since Friday and I can’t do anything ? not even my games on my pc (The sims 4) won’t even work. I can’t even get Origin to log in to go into Offline mode. My data is seriously bad right now and no clue when it will be fixed. Help me Lord ???

Any official word on the matter? No, not yet. We’re not able to obtain a word from the official service channels or their social media handles.
