The players who are facing issues that are similar to game not working, not launching, not starting, and crashing issues must follow these methods to fix them:

  • Make sure that your PC meets the minimum requirements of the game. Here are the details of the minimum requirements that your PC must meet:

Requires a 64-bit processor and operating system
OS: Windows 10 (64-bit)
Processor: Intel® Core™ i3-4130 or Core™ i5-3470 or AMD FX™-6100
Memory: 8 GB RAM
Graphics: NVIDIA® GeForce® GT 1030 (DDR4) or AMD Radeon™ RX 550
DirectX: Version 12
Network: Broadband Internet connection
Storage: 23 GB available space

  • Maybe your antivirus software is stopping Monster Hunter Rise to launch. To resolve this, make sure that you add it to the exception of your antivirus program or temporarily disable it.
  • If you are still encountering this issue, run Steam as an administrator and then launch the game from the library.
  • Update Windows and GPU to the latest version: Search Update in Windows Search Bar and Open it > Check if there are any updates and update your system. To update GPU to the latest version, Open the Start menu and click on Settings > Windows Updates > View Selective Updates > Update Driver > *Select your Graphics Driver* > Download and Install
  • Update DirectX to the latest version. To install the latest version of DirectX, head here.
  • Update/Install the Windows Media Player codec. If you haven’t updated or installed this software, then launching issues can get triggered. To update or install it, you must click here.
  • Verify the game’s cache in Steam/ Verify integrity of game files. To do it, follow this path: Restart your computer > Launch Steam > Right-click on the game in Library > Properties >Local Files > Check Game File Integrity.
