Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Zakusu Shrine Guide: How To Complete It

Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Zakusu Shrine Guide: How To Complete It

Shrines are back, and this time they are much harder and more fun. This isn’t to say that the ones in Breath of the Wild were boring, but completing shrines in Tears of the Kingdom feels more satisfying. There’s more variety to them this time. Now, as much fun as they are, there are players who have been having a hard time with some of the shrines. The Zakusu Shrine is one of them.

The Zakusu Shrine can be hard to find since it can’t be located that easily in the game. And there’s a good reason for that. As such, here’s a helpful guide that will help you access the Zakusu Shrine.

The Zakusu Shrine is not one of those easily accessible shrines in Tears of the Kingdom. Players will need to complete a shrine quest to gain access to it. Complete the “The High Spring and The Light Rings” quest first, and then you can start your journey towards completing it.

How to find the quest?

First, head to the Spring of Wisdom area. Here, talk to the NPC named Nazbi, who is camping by the fire. The coordinates of the location are 3961, -1356, 0463. Interact with the NPC, and upon completing the conversation, the “The High Spring and The Light Rings” quest will start. Now, use the Mount Lanayru Skyview Tower to launch yourself into the sky. Try landing on the South Lanayru Sky Archipelago. If you are unable to notice it, it’s the one with a ring of water. The coordinates are 3933, -1513, 1132.

After landing, go near the holograph there and interact with it. A quest will start in which you will need to grab the Sled Shield nearby and surf down. And there are also the green rings. This is a timed event, so surf down fast and pass through the green rings as fast as possible. The moment you pass through the last ring, the quest will end, and Zakusu Shrine will appear in front of you.

How to complete the Shrine?

Upon entering the shrine, you will be stripped of your armor and weapons. But there will be three equipment items near the entrance: a Long Stick, Wooden Stick, Old Wooden Shield, and Old Wooden Bow. Use your “Rewind” ability to turn back the moving platform’s movement. Doing this will take you to the upper level of the shrine, where you will find Constructs. Now, it all depends on your combat skills. Defeat all the Constructs one by one while simultaneously trying to survive their attacks.

Once you have decimated all Constucts, your equipment will be returned to you. After this, head to the top floor and get the chest reward (which happens to be the Soldier IV Spear) along with a Light of Blessing.

The Zakusu Shrine is kind of like one of those Test of Strength shrines in Breath of the Wild. As such, be mindful of both your own and your enemy’s attacks. One wrong move, and you will be seeing the “Game Over” screen sooner than you like.
