Nintendo’s Zelda Tears of the Kingdom is the latest action-adventure game in the Zelda series. Just like in Zelda: Breath of the Wild, you will have to play as Link in ToTK and take on the journey to save Hyrule. While doing so, you will face multiple quests, and you will need to complete them successfully. The game involves main quests and several side quests for Link to complete. ‘Spotting Spot’ is one such side quest that you will have to complete early in the game to get the unique horse named Spot. So, where can you find this Spot horse in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom? Let’s find out.
Unlike other wild horses, you can’t simply search for Spot and tame him. You will need to complete the Spotting Spot side quest in the game to have him in your stable. This side quest, however, will only be unlocked after you complete “The Incomplete Stable” side quest. On top of this, it’s also required that you’ve made progress in the “Regional Phenomena” main quest.
Completing the Incomplete Stable side quest is actually quite easy. Head to the following coordinates: -0255, 0063, 0019, and speak to Lester or Karson in Lookout Landing. Following this conversation, you will need to fix the broken roof of the stable using your Ultrahand ability. This will finish the side quest, and Lester will then request that you find one of his horses, named Spot. The horse gets its name because of its unique appearance. Lester mentions that Spot isn’t likely to have gone too far, which means that you can find him in the surrounding area near Lookout Landing. But where?
How to Find & Get Spot Horse in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom?
If you’re worried that you will have to spend too much time finding Spot, you’re mistaken. Just head to the following coordinates: -0390, -0045, 0025; and you should find him in this vicinity. Once you’ve ‘spotted’ him, you need to tame him like you would tame any other horse in the game. Crouch towards him slowly, and as you approach him, mount his back and tame him. Now, because of his strength, it might be a tricky task to tame him, but not impossible. We suggest that you have full stamina before you try to tame him. You can also consume stealth-enhancing dishes, such as Sneaky Elixirs, or wear stealth-enhancing armor to improve your chances of getting near the horse. Also, make sure you have some endura carrot dishes, as consuming them will restore your stamina.
Once you’ve tamed Spot, take him back to Lester to complete the quest. For this, Lester will provide Link with 50 rupees, a sweet carrot, and even offer to register Spot. If you register Spot, which we suggest that you do, you’ll be able to use him for future conquests and even rename him.
