Zelda Tears of the Kingdom (ToTK) Mystic Armor Set: How to get & find
The huge armor collection in Zelda ToTK is incredible. The new Mystic Armor set is a great find, as it provides Link with a unique set of benefits. The armor yields a rupee padding ability, which uses rupees to protect Link’s health. When damage is dealt to Link, the shield allows him to lose rupees instead of health. Just like other armor sets, the Mystic Armor set comprises of three pieces: Mystic Robe, Mystic Trousers, and a Mystic Headpiece.
Unlike other armor sets, the Mystic Armor set is not found in any chest but instead is sold by a vendor. Now, you must be thinking, getting the set is not that big a deal; just go to the vendor and purchase it. Well, it’s not that simple. The vendor in question is Koltin, who only opens shop at night and is forever changing locations. So, pinpointing him can be a difficult and frustrating task. But with this guide, the process can become easier.
Get Access to Koltin’s Shop
The first thing players need to do in order to get the Mystic Armor is to get acquainted with Koltin and Kilton (Koltin’s brother). You can find them in the Pico Pond Cave, which is northeast of Central Hyrule, at the coordinates: 1166, 1205, and 0020. Upon dropping by the location, you will meet the two vendor brothers who will send you on a quest. The quest named ‘The Hunt for Bubbul Gems’, is necessary for you to gain access to Koltin’s shop.
Head into the cave, and you’ll reach a big room, which is also a dead end. You will see a Bubbul Frog resting on top of the cave’s wall. Initiate a fight by shooting an arrow at the enemy and provoking it. Bubbul Frogs are fairly easy to defeat; all you have to do is swing your trusted sword at them. Once defeated, it will drop one Bubbul Gem, which you can offer to Koltin to gain access to the shop.
Get the Bubbul Gems
Unlike other vendors, Koltin does not accept rupees but Bubbul Gems. The entire Mystic Armor set’s price is set in Bubbul Gems as well. The Mystic Robe will cost you around 3 Bubbul Gems, the Mystic Trousers is up for grabs for 4 Bubbul Gems, and lastly, the Mystic Headpiece will cost you 5 Bubbul Gems. But he will not offer you this readily. You have to buy everything at his shop so that he will offer you the set. So, in total, you will need 50 Bubbul gems to get the entire Mystic set in the game.
One of the easiest ways to know the Bubbul Frogs’ location is to find caves. If you don’t know the location of various caves in the Hyrule region, don’t worry. You will need to find the Cherry Blossom Shrines located across the map. They are located in seven regions on the map. The first is located near the Tabantha Frontier; the second is to the south of the Hyrule Ridge; the third is in the Gerudo Highlands; the fourth is in the Faron Grasslands; the fifth is placed near the East Necluda; the sixth is on the Eldin Mountains; and lastly, the seventh is located northeast of the Central Hyrule near the Romani Plains.
Once you drop down at any of the locations mentioned above, find the Cherry Blossom tree. Drop one apple into the bowl located at the roots of the tree. This will reveal the location of the caves where players can find the Bubbul Frogs. Once you reach the caves, you will meet a Blupee who will lead you to the entrance of the caves. Once you head inside, defeat as many Bubbul Frogs as you encounter and collect the Bubbul Gems. During this mission, you will often find yourself deep in the caves. So, you can use the Ascend ability to easily get to the surface.
Search for Koltin
Gaining access to Koltin’s shop is not enough, players will need to search for his location, which is always changing. However, there are two specific locations where Koltin is seen to appear often, but only at night. The first location falls to the west of the Great Hyrule Forest, near the Forgotten Temple. The coordinates for the place are -1534, 2395, and 0245.
The other location where Koltin sets up shop pretty often is Ulri Mountain. This mountain lies in the Akkala Highlands. Koltin’s shop can be found at the following coordinates: 3655, 2065, and 0168.
Make sure to look out for the big, funky balloon; that’s Koltin’s shop. If he does not set up shop in the locations mentioned above, you will need to try again after some time.
This is all you need to know in order to get the Mystic Armor Set in Zelda ToTK. This also brings us to the end of the guide, and we hope the information provided above was helpful. Before leaving, make sure to check out DigiStatement for more information and updates about your favorite games!
