Zelda Tears of the Kingdom (ToTK): How to Get the Phantom Armor Set

Tears of the Kingdom inherits the Phantom Armor set from its predecessor, Breath of the Wild. The armor set made its main appearance in the prequel and has been a fan favorite since then. This armor is known for its durability and strength, as well as for providing the Attack-Up boost. Phantom armor in Tears of the Kingdom is said to be a rare find. The entire set consists of three times namely, the Helmet, the Armor, and the Greaves. Wearing this complete armor set is sure to terrorize your enemies. So, how do you get the Phantom Armor set? Let’s see.

As with all armor sets in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, the pieces of the Phantom Armor set are also scattered across the map in different locations. Though collecting the armor set is not that difficult, pinpointing the exact location of each piece can be tricky. The three locations we mention below are all you need to know to get the Phantom Armor Set.

Phantom Armor

Zelda Tears of the Kingdom (ToTK): How to Get the Phantom Armor Set

The main piece of the set is the armor which can be found in the Tamio River Downstream Cave. This cave is located southwest of the Satori Mountains at the coordinates -2908, -0776, 0010. As you enter the cave, follow the water stream and stick to the path on your left. Make sure to pick up the Bomb Flowers on your way in for later. The cave is guarded by Horriblins, so you can choose to take a fight or ignore their existence as you stick to the edges of the cave walls. Once you walk past or defeat the enemy, walk straight to a path that is lit by two glowing rocks.

Glide into the wide room inside the cave as you reach the path’s end. It is important to not take any turns and walk straight till you see some more glowing rocks. Once you see those rocks, look to your right; an entrance will be blocked with some breakable rocks. Use your rock hammer or the Bomb Flowers you picked on your way to break the rocks. Walk straight in as it breaks, and you will a shrine-like place at the end of the narrow path. Open the chest that is placed in the middle and collect your Phantom Armor!

Phantom Greaves

Zelda Tears of the Kingdom (ToTK): How to Get the Phantom Armor SetPhantom Greaves is the legwear of the armor set. This piece can be found in the East Barrens that lie east of the Gerudo Dessert. The place can be located by zooming in to find twelve hole pits on the map. The coordinates of the place are -2472, -3650, and 0021.

Zelda Tears of the Kingdom (ToTK): How to Get the Phantom Armor SetAs you drop down at the location, you’ll see that the hole pits are filled with quicksand. But don’t worry; they are what you need to obtain the Phantom Greaves. You will need to jump into the pit you see in the middle. This will lead you to the Ancient Altar Ruins, where the Phantom Greaves is located. The chest is placed in a shrine-like place in the ruins to your left. Open the chest and collect your Phantom Greaves!

Phantom Helmet

Zelda Tears of the Kingdom (ToTK): How to Get the Phantom Armor SetThe last piece you need to complete the set is the Phantom Helmet. The helmet can be found south of the Nette Plateau, near Puffer Beach. The coordinates of the place are 0276, -3868, and 0001. The exact location of the helmet is in the Puffer Beach Overhead Cave. Which is, as you can guess, a cave positioned above the surface and over the head.

You will need to grab a rocket in order to reach the cave. As you look around the place, you will see two rockets near the shore. Use Link’s Ultrahand ability to grab and lift one of the rockets. Search nearby for a rock to attach the rocket to and reach the cave. You will need to position the rocket so it faces north, now press A to attach it to the rock you choose. Ignite the rocket and fly towards the Puffer Beach Overhead Cave. This step can be tricky, so make sure you place the rock right below the cave’s opening.

Once you climb up, you will be greeted by Horriblins guarding the cave. You can again choose to defeat the enemy or ignore it completely. Walk straight inside, and you will see a shrine-like place with a chest in the middle. Open the chest and collect your Phantom Helmet!

Collecting all three pieces will complete the Phantom Armor Set. Well, this brings us to the end of the guide, and we hope the locations and information provided above proved to be of help. Be sure to check out DigiStatement for more information and updates about your favorite games!
