The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is out, and players are delighted. Launched on May 12th, it has been receiving lots of praise for expanding on Breath of the Wild’s mechanics and the new stuff that was introduced by the devs. The Switch, despite being six years old and showing signs of aging, is still able to run such a massive game. While there surely are stutterings and fps drops at certain places, most of the time Tears of the Kingdom runs at a steady 30 FPS. Whatever coding magic Nintendo did with this game, it’s certainly working wonders for them. Now, due to ToTK’s sheer vastness, it can take time for players to find certain things. Take the Glide Armor set for starters.
Armor sets are a staple of the new Legend of Zelda games. Breath of the Wild itself has more than a dozen armor sets, including those from DLC and Amiibo. Each of these is unique and serves an important purpose. For example, the Snowquill Set, when donned by Link, gives him cold resistance making him immune to freezing. Like that, the Climbing Set allows our ancient hero to climb spaces more quickly as it speeds up climbing speed. Suffice it to say, each and every piece of armor has a set purpose and will aid Link in his journey to save Hyrule and Princess Zelda. So, where is the Glide Armor set located, and how is it unique? Let’s find out!!
Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom (ToTK) Glide Armor Set Location: Where is it
The Glide Armor Set or Glide Suit, is one of the most useful armor sets in Tears of the Kingdom. It’s an entirely new addition to the game, as it wasn’t included in Breath of the Wild. As the name itself suggests, the Glide Suit, when worn by The Hero of the Wild, gives him “Skydive Mobility Up”. But what does it mean? Well, in simpler words, the set allows you to skydive with more ease as it provides the wearer with a bit of air mobility. Furthermore, if you enhance the set to the max through the Great Fairy Fountains, the suit will also receive an impact-proof set bonus, i.e., no fall damage. And you can change the color of the set too.
Like all other armor sets, the Glide Suit has three pieces – Glide Shirt, Glide Mask, and Glide Suit.
Each piece is scattered all through the world of Hyrule and you will need to complete a skydiving minigame each time, to get all three pieces. Do note that players will need to offer one Zonai charge in each of these three locations before the minigame starts.
Glide Shirt
The Glide Shirt can be found on Courage Island. Activate the Lindor’s Brow Skyview Tower and use it to get to the island. When there, activate the minigame laid out for you. The minigame is easy, as it requires you to dive all the way to the bottom of the island through green-colored rings. But the task has yet to be finished. Talk to the Zonai Construct, and it will make you do the same minigame again although this time it will be timed. Finish the minigame in the required time, and you will be awarded the Glide Shirt.
Glide Mask
The Glide Mask can be found on Valor Island. Located in the South Lanayru Sky Archipelago, it can be accessed by activating the South Mount Lanayru Skyview Tower. Once you get to the island, perform a practice run, after which you will need to talk to the Construct there. Perform the same time trial run, and you will get the Glide Mask.
Glide Tights
The final piece: Glide Tights can be found in Bravery Island. Located above the Lost Woods, it can be accessed by activating the Thyphlo Ruins Skyview Tower. After you land on the island, do the same steps you did the previous two times: Practice run, Talk to Construct, and Complete the time trial challenge. After completing the minigame, the Construct will reward you with the final piece, making your Glide Armor Set complete.
Players can do these trials repeatedly after getting their rewards. Each time you beat your score, you will get one Large Zonai Charge. The three islands are easy to spot but if you still need help, here are their exact coordinates.
