Xiaomi is one of the biggest smartphone makers in the world and also holds the title for the king of the budget smartphone segment. Not only this, Xiaomi is the most loved brand in the budget smartphone segment in India, the biggest market for smartphones.
The OEM has been launching the smartphones in the budget and mid-range segment. Talking specifically about the Android One based A-series, Xiaomi launched Mi A3 in July last year with the triple rear camera setup.
Mi A3 is the third installment in the A-series, which comes with a lot of features and a trendy gradient design at the back. A3 comes with a 6.08-inch display which supports a resolution of 720p, which was not expected, even Mi A2 features a full HD display. So, with the upcoming Mi A4, we are expecting at least a full HD display. Again, AMOLED display might not be a preference, but it would be great if Xiaomi manages to do it.
Xiaomi Mi A4: Specifications – Expectations
Under-the-hood, we get a Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 processor for hassle-free performance. SD 665 is not a wrong choice, but again, the rival brands are offering better, and we expected at least Qualcomm Snapdragon 712. It would be great if Xiaomi offers Snapdragon 700 series processor with Mi A4.
Well, Xiaomi Mi A3 failed to impress the tech enthusiasts in terms of performance, but the camera department featured in Mi A3 was quite interesting. A3 features a triple rear camera setup, which carries a gigantic 48MP primary sensor, 8MP wide-angle sensor, and a 2MP telephoto sensor. Mi would be on a safer side, even if it decides to include the same camera hardware with the new Mi A4, but improvement in the software side is still expected.
Last but not least, we are expecting significant improvements in the design of 2020’s Mi A4. We are expecting the pop-up camera mechanism for a notch-less display, a glass-based unibody design, and an AMOLED display
