WW2 Rebuilder Native Linux Support: Is it available?WW2 Rebuilder

The short answer is NO. Unfortunately, the game is natively not supported on Linux systems. This is disappointing to hear for those running Linux distros on their system. One of the best ways to verify whether a game is supported on Linux is through the ProtonDB page. Likewise, the game is currently rated as unverified and natively not supported on Linux systems or the Steam Deck. However, some players report managing to run this game on their Linux systems. This means that the game may not be officially supported but Linux users can try running the game with a variable rate of success.

Will WW2 Rebuilder be officially supported on Linux in the future?

Well, it is unlikely that the game will be officially supported on Linux systems in the future. According to one of the game’s developers in a reply to a Steam user asking this very question, “Unfortunately at this stage we can’t promise Linux support for our game. Thanks for asking though!“. This means that the game may not be officially supported at all on Linux. However, there are some workarounds that players on Linux can follow such as using the Wine emulation layer or Proton plugins to try and run the game. There is currently no guarantee that this will be successful. Therefore, Linux users are free to try and install the game to see if it works for them.
