Where to find tropical fish in Minecraft ?

Tropical fish are another type of mob which spawns in Minecraft, underwater, of course, these mobs are quite different than what you may assume when you hear the word “Mob”, they are not hostile like Creepers, Skeletons, and Zombies which you find quite easily in the overworld. Tropical Fish are harmless and non-hostile creatures in the game. We will tell you where exactly you can find these non-hostile mobs in Minecraft further in this article.

Before we get into where tropical fish are, we need to know more about Tropical fish are in Minecraft, the tropical fish have a health bar of 1.5 hearts, hence they are quite easy to kill as well since you only need to inflict three damage points to kill them, they won’t attack you back even when you attack them, they will simply swim away as a defense mechanism.

The tropical fish are also good for gaining experience points In Minecraft, you gain experience as you progress further along with the game,  a common way to gain this experience is by killing mobs that you come across, these mobs may include hostile ones such as Creepers, Zombies, Skeletons, Wither Skeletons, and even the Ender Dragon or it could include non-hostile mobs such as the tropical fish. The tropical fish drops one to three experience points with every tropical fish you kill.

You can even spawn the tropical fish by using the tropical fish spawn egg.

Where do you find Tropical Fish?

Now getting back to the main topic, where exactly will you find tropical fish in Minecraft?

Tropical fish are commonly found in areas with warm or lukewarm water, there are three such areas in Minecraft that have a favorable habitat for tropical fish and you will definitely find them there. These three areas have been listed below.

  • Warm ocean biomes
  • Lukewarm Ocean biomes
  • Deep Lukewarm Ocean biomes

The chances of you not finding a tropical fish here are extremely low.
