And as such, you no longer have to worry about not being able to play it on the Deck. What’s more, even before the game became Deck Verified, it was perfectly playable on the Steam Deck. The developers themselves stated that before the 1.0 release in a FAQ post:
“Yes! We are still working with Steam to get the game verified for the Steam Deck, but it is playable at the moment.”
Both the Asus Rog Ally and the Lenovo Legion Go can also run the game just fine. Unlike the Steam Deck, the Rog Ally and Legion Go use Windows OS, which eliminates all compatibility-related issues. Moreover, with both of them possessing a significantly powerful processor, coupled with The Witch of Fern Island’s very low system requirements, you will have no trouble enjoying the game on either of these handhelds. By the way, if you want to play the game for some time more, make sure to lower your TDP and have the graphics set to either Medium or Low. However, if you are more of a visuals guy, then go ahead and run The Witch of Fern Island on whatever graphics you prefer.
