Clear the game’s cache –

Next up, you have to go to Documents, then you have to open the Electronic Arts folder. Here, you have to go into the Sims 4 folder and you have to move your Saves folder to Desktop. Now, you have to delete all the cache files from the cachestr folder. After doing so, you have to restart the game to create a new save file. After creating the new save, you can now move the old save files from Desktop to the original Save folder of Sims 4.

Update the game in Origin –

Keeping the game up-to-date is one of the best ways to fix the error code. Likewise, getting the latest patches as well as fixes can fix the error code. In order to update the game in Origin, you have to go to your Game Library in Origin. Then, you have to choose The Sims 4 game from the list of games and you have to select the game’s Settings from the drop-down menu. Finally, you can download and install the latest updates for the game.

Close background programs –

Closing background running programs can fix the Sims 4 error code 22. In order to do this, you can simply go to your Task Manager, select the Programs tabs and kill the background running programs. However, make sure to not end system processes.

Repair the game –

Game files missing can be the main reason for the error code 22 in the game. Therefore, repairing the game can fix this error code for good. In order to do this, you have to open Origin, then browse your Game library, and right-click on the Sims 4. Now, you can choose the Repair option from the drop-down menu.
