Version 1.0 of the game was officially released on April 10, 2024, all packaged with a ton of new and exciting content. From a new online multiplayer co-op mode for up to 10 players and 3 new biomes to new big animals creation via DNA manipulation and new endgame content, there’s just so much stuff to enjoy in the 1.0 version of The Planet Crafter. Now, like any other newly released title, there’s a lot about it that players want to know. And this guide here will help you know where the game’s save file location is.
Losing your progress just because your save file got corrupted or is missing is not something that you would want. It can be quite disheartening when that happens, sometimes even going so far as to dissuade players from playing a game once again. As such, it’s always better to know where the save file of a game is located so that you can make a backup of it or use it for other purposes. So, let’s go ahead and find out where you can access The Planet Crafter’s save files.
The Planet Crafter Save File Location: Where is it
The following steps will help you to get to the game’s save file location. Follow them thoroughly and you will find The Planet Crafter’s save files in no time.
- First, open the File Explorer on your PC and then the C: drive.
- In the next screen, scroll down and click on the Users folder. It will be located right above the Windows folder.
- Now, click on the folder with your username.
- Once again, scroll down and find the AppData folder. In case you are unable to find it, simply click on View, located on the top, and then select Show. From the options present, scroll down to the last one and select Hidden items. The AppData folder will be visible now, if it wasn’t before.
- Inside the AppData folder, you will find three subfolders: Local, LocalLow, and Roaming. Select LocalLow.
- There will be more subfolders inside the LocalLow folder. Ignore all of them except the one named MijuGames. You need to open it.
- Now, you will come across the Planet Crafter folder. Open it and inside you will find all of your saved game files.
- Your path should be similar to this if you have followed every step correctly: C:\Users\ [YourUsername] Folder\AppData\LocalLow\MijuGames\Planet Crafter.
Now that you know where The Planet Crafter’s save files are located, make sure that you make a backup of your saves from time to time. While the chances of save files getting corrupted or accidentally being deleted are rare, it can happen. Having a backup of all of your save files will save you from a lot of trouble.
