Tetris has played an integral part in our childhood. We still remember the times of playing this iconic game in our game bars and mobile phones. There was a different level of satisfaction that came when we matched the pattern. As a result, when a Tetris floor was complete, and it vanished, we got motivated to complete the pattern and increase the pile. For Tetris fans, July brings them a surprise like never seen for! Tetris Effect will see an evolution into a new mode, Tetris Effect: Connected! But does this update bring to us? Read this article as we share all the updates.
Tetris Effect: Connected Introduces Both Crossplay & Local Multiplayer
Let us look at the multiplayer modes:
- Connected: Make a team of three to defeat the CPU (or bosses controlled by players) as line clearance can help in protection from grave danger.
- Zone Battle: While the standard Tetris matching setting is available here, victory is assured with appropriate usage of the time-stopping Zone mechanic. Present your best single-player skills in this intense one-v-one match as the winner takes all!
- Classic Score Attack: Be ready for the intense battle. Experience a throwback to classical Tetris settings (old school.) All you got is a single Tetrimino as the only queue. Now you won’t be able to control and had the tetromino or go for sharp falls. We can see this mode being used in the World Championship of Classical Tetris.
Cross-platform play
Perhaps another feature that has caught our attention is the Cross-platform! Now you will get a four-digit alphanumeric code, which you can share with your friends playing on any platform ( PlayStation 4, Microsoft Windows, Xbox One, Oculus Quest, Xbox Series X and Series S) and they can finally join that game using the shared code. This can ensure the game in reaching a larger audience.
