Terminator: Dark Fate—Defiance happens to be the latest addition to the RTS genre. Developed and published by Slitherine Ltd., the game was just recently released on February 21, 2024, and so far has received pretty positive reviews from both critics and fans alike. While players are having a blast with the game, many want to know what Slitherine has planned for the game in the near future.
Players seem to have especially loved the game’s single-player campaign. Now, we aren’t going to spoil the entire story for you, but the developers have definitely left the campaign open-ended. This has left many fans wishing for more. Plus, players now also want a Legion campaign. And of course, there’s also DLC, which fans have been looking forward to enjoying. Terminator Dark Fate Defiance Roadmap for 2024, DLC & new campaign Release Date details
At the time of publishing this, the Terminator: Dark Fate – Defiance developers are yet to share a roadmap for the game. This doesn’t mean that there aren’t plans for a new campaign or DLC. In fact, mhardisty, a developer on the TDFD team, replied to a Steam Discussion post on planned DLC or campaign expansion that they will share a roadmap for Terminator: Dark Fate – Defiance soon, and it will include everything that they are planning to release in 2024.
“We will be delivering a Road Map at some point in the near future that will outline plans through 2024. This does include further features and campaign DLC’s.”
A similar statement was also made on the official Discord server, which confirmed that DLCs are indeed planned for the game and that we will get a roadmap soon. And yes, there’s going to be multiple DLCs this year.
Like we stated before the campaign was very well received by the playerbase and now we can’t wait to see what Slitherine has in store for us next. Now, it’s unclear whether a roadmap will be released this month itself or in the next few ones. But if we were to give our opinion on this, then we believe that the roadmap will be made available this month itself.
While there might not be much info on the upcoming DLCs, we do know that the very first major update for the game will be Skirmish and multiplayer-focused, as shared by a Slitherine staff on the Discord. Furthermore, the update will also add new maps, play modes, and QoL functionality.
