Today, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate game director Masahiro Sakurai revealed Byleth from Fire Emblem: Three House as DLC 5 Smash Fighter. Sakurai made this announcement during the Smash Direct held today at 9 a.m. EST.
Currently, Joker from Persona 5, Banjo-Kazooie, Hero from Dragon Quest, and Terry Bogard from Fatal Fury have been added in the game in the past four DLCs. This makes Byleth as final downloadable character included in the Fighters Pass as Nintendo promised only five challenger packs DLC. But, this is far from the end for new characters in Ultimate as Fighter Pass 2 is under development.
During the presentation, Masahiro Sakurai announced the Fighter Pass 2, which you can pre-purchase from January 28. Sakurai revealed that Pass 2 will have six new characters and promised to release them before December 31, 2021.
Nintendo has yet to unveil the characters of Fighter Pass 2, so stay tuned for the updates.
