Bethesda’s latest title, Starfield, is just around the corner. The game is scheduled for a September 6, 2023, release on Windows PCs and Xbox Series X/S consoles. However, many players are already halfway through their journey in Starfield, all thanks to the game being made available via early access. Well, as fun as the game is right now, the PC version is filled with issues such as the gray play button and low GPU utilization issues. And just recently, players have started encountering a new problem. We are talking about the “Fast travel directly from mission menu” stuck issue that is troubling many.
Well, due to an unknown bug, the “Fast travel directly from mission menu” tooltip simply gets stuck on the screen indefinitely. While not as severe as some other issues, it can get annoying pretty fast. So, is there any fix for this issue? Let’s find out!
Starfield “Fast travel directly from mission menu” Tooltip Stuck on Screen Issue: Is there any fix yet
Right now, there’s no official fix for this issue. As such, players will have to make do with the following workarounds. However, many reported that these workarounds did fix the issue for them, so they are worth trying.
Deplete your O2 –
Since the “Fast travel directly from mission menu” tooltip refuses to go away, you can remove it by replacing it with another notification. Players can do that by simply running around until their O2 level gets depleted. When that happens, the game will notify the player that the O2 is running out, resulting in the previous notification getting replaced with a new one. And, unlike the previous tooltip, the O2 is running out tooltip doesn’t stick around forever.
Stand in the Chlorine Vent –
This workaround, too, works in the same vein as the O2 one. The only difference is that for this one, you will need to go to Europa and find a chlorine vent there. Once found, just stand in it, and the game will issue a warning notification to you, replacing the “fast travel” notification. Note that you can use other methods too. Just keep in mind that the tooltip simply needs to be replaced by another notification.
Relaunch the game –
This one is even easier than the previous two workarounds. All you need to do is save your progress and then close the game. Next, launch it, and hopefully the issue will be gone now. If it’s still there, try the next workaround.
Reload an earlier save –
If you’ve got an earlier save that doesn’t have this issue, we suggest you load that one. While we can’t guarantee that you will not encounter this error again, we still suggest you give this workaround a try.
Travel to the quest destination and restart the game –
A player resolved this issue by traveling to the quest destination and then waiting for the log to be updated. Once that was done, all that remained was to simply restart Starfield. Doing so fixed the issue for them, so make sure to give this workaround a try.
