Splitgate is being developed by 1047 games, the game has been heavily inspired by Halo and Portal not only in terms of mechanics but also in Splitgate character and weapon skins.
The game is not a complete copy of Halo or Portal mechanics but rather a mix of the two, creating quite a unique PVP experience for players with their added additions of portals and jetpacks.
Splitgate was initially released on May 24, 2019, on PC for free to play through steam, though the game is still in its Beta version, it has received over 10 million dollars in funding, released its beta version on consoles on July 27, 2020, and has enabled cross-platform play.
Splitgate Character Skins
The beta version of Splitgate consists of 6 playable characters which are listed below with the skins available for them.
Vulture
Vulture as of now only has one skin available and that is called “Silver”.
Oliver
Oliver has 2 skins in the current release of the game, one skin is known as “Clay” it is a legendary skin and quite hard to come by, the second skin is “Jarred”, which turns Oliver into a half cyborg – half-cat being
Rexy
Rexy only has one skin as of the moment and it is a legendary skin, the skin is called “Rex”, the character wears the skull of a Rex and has body armor which consists of various bones attached to it.
Shogun
Shogun has 2 skins as well, one is a legendary skin called “Gold” and the second skin is an Epic skin called “Midnight”, these skins simply have color differences.
T-200
T-200 consists of 2 skins, the “moss” which is a rare skin, and “Blue” which is a common skin you receive at the beginning of unlocking the character.
Tinhead
Tinhead has 2 skins, one is an epic rated skin called “MK3” and the second one is also an epic skin called “Unholy” which gives Tinhead a full red tint.
