Endnight Games’ Sons of the Forest is looking solid if the player count is any indicator. While there’s been a considerable drop in average players since its launch, it’s still averaging 6000+ active players, as per Steam Charts. Released on February 23, 2023, as an early access title, the game went on to sell 2 million copies in just 24 hours. All in all, Sons of the Forest is already a hit before its 1.0 release, and there’s still so much more to be added. Furthermore, it also got a major content drop on June 23, in which Drivable Golf Carts were introduced alongside many other new and interesting things. Drivable Golf Carts in Sons of the Forest seem like a random joke at first, but it’s true. How do the developers justify a golf cart being in the game? Well, for that, you would need to go over the story and larger narrative of the game first. However, SotF already offers vehicles like the Knight V, so a Golf Cart on an island doesn’t seem that weird when you consider it. So, how do you get this new vehicle in Sons of the Forest? Sons of the Forest (SotF): How to get & find Drivable Golf Carts
Patch 07 is SotF’s biggest update to date. This new update brings with it the Dirty/clean water mechanic, a new weapon – Rifle, a new end boss battle and cutscenes, dedicated servers, a myriad of bug fixes and improvements, and much more. Now, a new addition to the game is Drivable Golf Carts. Although the island isn’t exactly a massive map, it sure does feel boring at times to trek for supplies and such. These Golf Carts are a helpful solution to that problem. And the best part! You don’t need to complete any kind of quest to get these. But where are they located exactly?
If you didn’t already know, not all Golf Carts are drivable in the game. The majority of the drivable ones can be found in the northeast corner of the Island. A golf course is located there, so it is almost 100% guaranteed that you will find at least one drivable golf cart at the location. Simply head to the location marked on the map provided below, and you will eventually come across a drivable golf cart.
The new vehicle runs on batteries, so you will need to loot some storage containers. Players can also drive it around with a buddy, as it has a passenger seat. Driving it is pretty easy since it uses the usual WASD movement keys. And yes!! You can use Golf Carts to mow down some cannibals.
