Very few survival sims have been able to get recognition in the last few years like Sons of the Forest has. A sequel to 2018’s indie hit The Forest, this new title takes place a few years after the events of the last game. Developed by Endnight Games and published by Newnight, Sons of the Forest officially entered early access back on February 23, 2023. Since then, it has received some fantastic content drops and improvements. The critic and fan reaction has also been mostly positive thanks to the amazing work done by the developers. On June 23, the devs released a new update for the game in which they added a new end-game boss, among other things. So, if you are interested in fighting this boss without completing the game, you should know its spawn command.

Sons of the Forest New End Game Boss spawn command & more details
Patch 07 of Sons of the Forest is the developer’s biggest update so far. It introduces new gameplay mechanics like a dirty/clean water system, new weapons, a dedicated server, and many other improvements. The highlight of this new update is, of course, the new end-game boss battle. To test out the new boss, you can spawn it using the following commands in the developer console:
- Addcharacter boss
- addcharacter mutantboss
To activate console commands, type in “cheatstick” when you are in-game. After typing it in, press the F1 key. Do note that you will need to use the US keyboard layout for this since the current English keyboard layout has been experiencing some problems.
This new end-boss is pretty tough compared to the previous one. The newly introduced weapon: Rifle will be of great help in your fight against it. We don’t want to spoil your fun, so we would like to keep the spoilers under wraps for now. Just keep your distance from the boss in the fight and bring lots of ammo.
