Six Days in Fallujah is finally here. Well, not for all players, but just for Steam users. Published on June 22, 2023, it will have its console release sometime later next year, in 2024. Fans are already loving the game as it provides something different than the yearly COD releases. But at the same time, the game appears to be suffering from some bugs and errors. Several players have reported that their mics are not working in the game. This is an annoying issue since communication is an important aspect of games like these. And so, here are some fixes that you can use to fix the “mic not working” issue in Six Days in Fallujah.
Six Days in Fallujah Mic Not Working Issue: Is there any fix yet
One good news is that the developers have acknowledged this issue and are actively tracking it. So, we can expect a fix for this issue sometime in the upcoming updates. Until the developers release a fix, you can follow this guide to deal with this frustrating issue.
Update audio drivers –
Since this particular issue is audio-related, we suggest you go and download the latest available audio drivers. You can do so by going to Start and typing in Device Manager in the search bar. Once it is open, select Audio, Video, and Game Controller. Search for the name of your audio device and double-click on it. Switch to the Driver tab, and then select Update Driver. In the next window, you will be presented with two options: – Search automatically for updated driver software or Browse my computer for driver software. Select the former, and then let the program do its job.
Connect another headset –
If you are using a headset for both input and output audio, try connecting a different headset. This way, you can easily find out if the problem is with your headset itself or with the game. If the problem lies with the headset, then replace it with another one, and if it’s the game, then move on to the next fix.
Restart Audio Services –
Players can try restarting audio services in Windows to deal with this issue. Type in services in the search bar and open it. Next, select the following services, right-click on them, and choose Restart:
- Windows Audio
- Windows Audio Endpoint Builder
- Remote Procedure Call (RPC)
Check your cables and plugs –
It’s a possibility that your headset/mic is not properly connected to your system due to loose wires or faulty cables. So, check the hardware and verify whether the connection is intact.
Ensure that you have turned on Allow Apps to access your microphone –
If you haven’t enabled the “Allow Apps to access your microphone” option, then we suggest you do so. Go to Settings > Privacy > Microphone. There, you will find the “Allow Apps to access your microphone” option. Enable it and see if the issue still persists in the game. Also, make sure that the microphone you are using is set as the default communication device.
Well, that marks the end of this guide. We hope that at least one of the provided workarounds has helped you fix this issue. For more guides like this, don’t forget to follow DigiStatement. Also read: Six Days in Fallujah: How to Mute Players
