Here are the steps on how to rename a ship in the game –

  1. First and foremost, you have to purchase a Ship Renaming Deed. Likewise, you have to go to any of the Sea of Thieves Outposts to do this.
  2. Next up, you have to go to the Pirate Emporium at a Sea of Thieves Outpost. Alternatively, you can also go to the Pirate Emporium by going to the game’s main menu before starting a session.
  3. Then, you have to speak to the shopkeeper at the Pirate Emporium. You have to ask the shopkeeper to browse their wares.
  4. Now, you have to go to the Captaincy tab. In this tap, you have to select the first option available which is the Ship Renaming Deed. You can purchase this for 499 Ancient Coins. Likewise, you can purchase this amount of Ancient Coins for $5.49.
  5. After buying the Ship Renaming Deed, you have to go to My Ships from the main menu. Here, you have to select a ship that you want to rename.
  6. You have to then select the Rename option. After doing so, you have to confirm that you want to use the Renaming Deed.
  7. Finally, you can now enter a name for your ship.
