Of course, you can’t create a successful drug empire in Schedule I all by yourself. You will have to rely on your staff to do the manual work while you strategize about how to expand and what to sell next. But what if the staff that you hired are the ones putting a hole in your wallet? If you have noticed that your employees in Schedule I are stealing items off of racks, sometimes weed, sometimes seeds, then it is not only you who’s facing the problem. Many players have reported similar issues. But is this actually an issue or an in-game mechanic? More details on the same are shared below.

Well, we can’t really say whether the employees stealing your in-game items in Schedule I is actually a bug. Some players have accepted that this is a feature, as even in real life, there is always the possibility of such things happening in a business. However, there are also many who think that this is actually an inventory-related issue that triggers the bug. Regardless of why this is happening, you should try the given workarounds, as many have tried and tested them. So, without further ado, let’s get right into it.

Reload Last Save

When you find out that your employees are gulping all your items into their inventory, then simply reload the latest save and then close the game. After this, launch the game and then check whether there is any behavioral shift. If the stealing continues even after this, try the next workaround.

Fire them

Well, this is the most generic option for getting things done the right way. Once you figure out which employee is stealing from you, fire them. Hire a new employee. Repeat this process until you get an honest employee.

Edit in-game files

For this workaround, head over to the game’s save file location, open the latest save, and then find the Properties folder. Here, go to <Property Name>/Employees/<EmployeeName>/Inventory.json, and remove all the item names inside the Items parameter. You can also delete the Inventory.json file if you don’t want to handle all the intricacies involved in manually changing it. This won’t cause any issues. Now, save the changes and then launch the game. As said earlier, if your employees’ inventory is already full, then this bug can occur. So, you are basically emptying their inventory, and hopefully doing so will fix the issue.

Move shelves/racks/items

If the employees are stealing from a particular rack or shelf, consider removing those structures from their original location. A quick restructuring might be all that’s needed to get this issue fixed.

With these workarounds, you should be able to get rid of the issue of employees stealing items in Schedule I. We hope that you find this guide informative. If you did, consider visiting DigiStatement for more such interesting reads on all things gaming.
