Thanks to the COVID-19 pandemic, Roblox now happens to be a juggernaut in the video gaming sphere. And it looks like this is going to remain the case for a while. With great games like Brookhaven RP, Adopt Me, MeepCity, and so many more, it’s safe to say that Roblox is here to stay. But like all other games, Roblox too has its own fair share of issues that need to be dealt with. And right now, the “Roblox Installer stuck on please wait” error is an issue that many players are struggling with.
This particular issue can happen mostly during updates or at launch. What’s more, sometimes players can get stuck in the “please wait” loop, and that’s not ideal at all. So, can this issue be fixed? Well, continue reading to learn all about the same.
Roblox Installer stuck on please wait error: How to fix it
Players can try the following workarounds to fix this issue. Try these and see which ones are of help to you.
Check your internet connection / Restart Router–
The very first thing that we recommend you do is check your internet connection. Make sure that the speed is good and the connection is not unstable. Players can also try restarting their router or even resetting it if there are issues with the internet connection. Some players had success dealing with this issue by simply turning on and off their internet connection, so you can try that too.
Add the game as an exclusion –
A probable cause behind this issue could be that the antivirus is blocking the update, resulting in this particular issue. And in such cases, the only fix is to simply add the game as an exclusion. For those using Windows Defender, can use the instructions mentioned below:
- Open Windows Settings > Privacy & Security > Windows Security > Virus & Threat Protection.
- In the new window, scroll down, and you will find the Manage settings option under the Virus & Threat Protection setting.
- Now, once again, scroll down and click on Add or Remove Exclusions.
- After that, select the Add an Exclusion button to browse and add Roblox. Once that’s done, launch the game and see if the issue persists.
Check server status –
Non-operational servers can also be the cause of this issue. As such, we recommend that players head to this official Roblox Server Status website and check whether all servers are marked as Operational or not. If they aren’t, just wait till the servers are back up and then only start the game.
Run Roblox as an admin –
A pretty common fix for an issue like this one is to just give Roblox admin privileges. So, what we suggest you do is find the Roblox launcher and then right-click on it. Next, select Properties, and then switch to the Compatibility tab. In there, you will find the “Run this program as an administrator” option. Checkmark that option and then click Apply and OK.
Reinstall –
If none of the aforementioned workarounds are of help, we suggest that you reinstall the launcher. However, if even this doesn’t help, we recommend that you contact support.
