While it was certainly known before the pandemic, it saw an incredible rise in its active player base during COVID-19. These days, Roblox has become a cultural phenomenon, along with the likes of Minecraft and Fortnite. And while it’s certainly fun, there are some issues that recently have become a major source of frustration for many players. A major one is the “Continue installation without flag settings” error.

Roblox Continue installation without flag settings error: How to fix it
Players can use the following workarounds to fix this issue. Try these and see if any of them are of help.
Run the launcher as admin–
The very first thing that we recommend players do is run the launcher as admin. So, find the RobloxPlayerLauncher.exe file in the game’s installation directory and right-click on it. Next, select Properties and switch to the Compatibility tab. From there, checkmark Run this program as an administrator and click on Apply and OK. Now, launch the game and see if it starts without errors.
Delete Roblox Versions –
A frequent fix for this issue seems to be just deleting Roblox versions from the main folder. To do that, just open the Run window and then type in %localappdata%. Next, in the Roblox folder, find the Versions folder and open it. After that, delete all old versions except for the newest one.
Add the game as an exclusion –
Your anti-virus could also be a possible culprit behind this issue. In such cases, the only solution is to add the game as an exclusion. You can do this by opening Windows Settings > Privacy & Security > Windows Security. In the next window, click on Virus & Threat Protection, and right below Virus & Threat Protection Settings, you will find Manage settings. Click on it. Next, scroll down, and you will find the Add or Remove Exclusions option. Select the Add an Exclusion button to browse and add Roblox.
Download the launcher again –
If you are encountering issues during the installation of Roblox, consider uninstalling the launcher from your PC, and then downloading it again from the official Roblox website. This will eliminate the possibility of encountering the issue due to corrupt files.
Reinstall Roblox –
If none of the aforementioned workarounds are of help, then we suggest you try this one. First of all, uninstall Roblox from your device and then open Roblox via a browser of your choice. After that, log in to your Roblox account and select any game of your choice. Click on the Play button and you will see the Download and Install Roblox prompt. Once the download is complete, follow the steps on-screen to install the game.
