Ride 5 Release Date for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X

Ride 5 has not been officially announced as being in development, and since Ride 4’s release is still relatively recent, we do not accept any announcements for it in the near future, as the developers, Milestone SRL continues to work on patches and fixes for Ride 4. Nonetheless, we can speculate about the release and content of Ride 5 based on past release patterns and general trends among racing game studios nowadays. With that out of the way, let’s get into the thick of things.

Ride is considered one of the premier bike racing games out there, and it is developed by the Italian studio Milestone SRL, which focuses almost solely on racing games. They have extensive experience in the bike racing genre, as is very apparent from the feel, physics, and models of the game. Milestone has previously developed Motocross, MotoGP, Superbike World Championship, and World Rally Championship games, with Ride being one of the few non-licensed franchises that Milestone maintains. Every mainline addition to the franchise has progressively added better graphics, new handling techniques, and additional customization options. Since the very first Ride game came out in October of 2015 in North America, a new installment has been released almost exactly every year. Ride 2 came out in 2017 for Xbox and PS4, Ride 3 in 2018, and Ride 4 in 2020. This year, on January 21, Ride 4 also received an expanded and enhanced version for the next-generation consoles, Xbox Series X and PS5. Unlike the other licensed franchises that are run by Milestone SRL, Ride does not have a time-bound release window of the likes of FIFA and NBA2K. As such, it would not be surprising to see Milestone focusing on developing MXGP 2021 before it turns to a possible Ride 5. Besides, going by the usual release pattern, we are not due another Ride game till at least mid to late 2022. It must be said that Milestone has done an excellent job at keeping the flow of its release unaffected by the global pandemic, which cannot always be said for all game studios.
