After a decent closed beta and early access phase, the full version of Rematch has been released for players. However, the game isn’t as smooth or bug-free as one would expect. Although it has made a name for itself in the sports genre, featuring one of the most popular sports, football, the numerous bugs and issues that players are encountering in-game are what are driving its sales down. That said, if you are one of the players on PC encountering an issue where your in-game player becomes stiff and you are unable to control it, then this is just the guide you need. Here, we have shared everything we know about the issue along with some effective workarounds to fix it.
Recent reports from players who have tried the Rematch have brought to light that after they launch the game and enter a match, they are unable to control their in-game player. The controls just don’t work. This mainly happens when players are loaded late in matches. While there isn’t an official fix for the same, there exists a tried and tested workaround that has fixed the issue for some. Want to know what it is? More details are shared below.

The only workaround that has a high success rate in fixing this issue involves deleting a folder inside the AppData folder of your PC. It is specifically the Runtime folder. How to find it? It’s quite simple. First, open your C drive, go to the Users folder, and then open the folder with your username. After this, open the AppData folder. If you are not able to find it, click on Show>Items>Hidden. Now, open the AppData folder, and then the Local folder inside it. Inside the Local folder, find the Runtime folder. Right-click on it, and then select Delete. Once done, you can try launching Rematch and then check whether the same issue occurs again.
Note: This workaround is specifically for players who tried the game’s beta. It seems that the game files from its beta and full versions might have some underlying issues due to which this problem is occurring. So, after deleting the Runtime folder, the issue should no longer persist.
