There are a number of statistics for your Pokemon in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet. Likewise, the various Pokemon in the game have statistics that are very important to increase for better performance. One such statistic like this is the EV stat. Increasing this stat of your pokemon can be very useful. What is an EV?Pokemon Scarlet & Violet

Each and every Pokemon species in the game have different EV stats and can be trained accordingly. Likewise, this EV stat varies in a range of 0-3. The most yield that a Pokemon can get from a single battle is 3 yields. This stat can be increased if you use your pokemon in battles and defeat other pokemon. But, you can speed up the process as well.

Pokemon Scarlet & Violet (SV): How to increase EVs & train them fast –

It is possible to increase the EVs of Pokemon by using Vitamins. Using a vitamin gives certain EVs for a specific stat. Likewise, you can purchase these Vitamins in the widely available Chancey Supply shops that are scattered all over the map and use them to increase EVs.

Here are the different stats that you gain in correlation to the different Vitamins –

  • HP Up – Boosts HP stat
  • Protein – Boosts Attack stat
  • Iron – Boosts Defense stat
  • Calcium – Boosts Special Attack stat
  • Zinc – Boosts Special Defense stat
  • Carbos – Boosts Speed Stat

How to train EVs faster –

You can also increase EVs of your Pokemon faster in the game by using Power Items. Likewise, these items can be held by a particular pokemon to increase the amount of EVs they receive after defeating a Pokemon in battle. Here are the different Power Items in PSV –

  • Power Bracer: +8 Attack EVs
  • Power Belt: +8 Defense EVs
  • Power Lens: +8 Special Attack EVs
  • Power Band: +8 Special Defense EVs
  • Power Anklet: +8 Speed EVs
  • Power Weight: +8 HP EVs
  • Macho Brace: x2 EVs of wild Pokemon defeated

You can also visit certain locations and battle specific wild pokemon while equipping the Power items to gain more EVs for your pokemon. Here’s the list of the best locations and the pokemon to battle to get EVs in the game.

Best Location and Pokemon to Battle to acquire HP EV  –

  1. Los Platos – Azurill (1 Yield)
  2. Los Platos – Lechonk (1 Yield)
  3. Los Platos – Paldean Wooper (1 Yield)

Best Location and Pokemon to Battle to acquire Attack EV  –

  1. South Province (Area 3) – Shinx (1 Yield)
  2. South Province (Area 3) – Growlithe (1 Yield)
  3. South Province (Area 3) – Yungoos (1 Yield)
  4. South Province (Area 3) – Nymble (1 Yield)

Best Location and Pokemon to Battle to acquire Defense EV  –

  1. South Province (Area 1) -Scatterbug (1 Yield)
  2. Asado Desert – Hippopotas (1 Yield)
  3. East Province (Area 3) – Carkol (2 Yield)

Best Location and Pokemon to Battle to acquire Special Attack EV  –

  1. South Province (Area 5) – Psyduck (1 Yield)
  2. South Province (Area 2) – Mareep (1 Yield)
  3. North Province (Area 3) – Sunflora (2 Yield)

Best Location and Pokemon to Battle to acquire Special Defense EV  –

  1. South Province (Area 1) – Hoppip (1 Yield)
  2. West Province (Area 1) – Swablu (1 Yield)
  3. Paldea’s Highest Peak(Glassado Mountain)- Cryogonal (2 Yield)

Best Location and Pokemon to Battle to acquire Speed EV  –

  1. South Province (Area 3) – Rookidee (1 Yield)
  2. Cabo Poco – Wingull (1 Yield)
  3. Cabo Poco – Magikarp (1 Yield)
  4. Cabo Poco – Buizel (1 Yield)
  5. Cabo Poco – Arrokuda (1 Yield)
