Pokemon Scarlet & Violet (SV): How to Find, Get & Catch Scatterbug

Pokemon Scarlet & Violet (SV) has a large variety of pokemon in the game. But, if you want to catch a bug-type pokemon early on in the game, then you can try catching Scatterbug. This little worm-like pokemon will be a perfect addition to your Pokedex. While Scatterbug is quite weak against most opponents, its evolved form, Vivillon, is more than enough to deal with pokemon that are weak against bug types. But, folks haven’t been able to locate and catch Scatterbug in PSV. So, if you are looking for more information as well then you have come to the right place.

Scatterbug is a bug-type pokemon. But, once you evolve it into Vivillon, it also gains the flying-type ability. The evolution of Scatterbug is as follows- Scatterbug> Spewpa> Vivillon. Well, most players do not like bug-type pokemon because they are weak against most other types. But for an early-level pokemon, Scatterbug and Vivillon work well. Once you gain the properties of a flying type, you can start dealing more damage to Grass, Ground, and Fighting type pokemon. Also, you will be able to catch a lot better pokemon once you progress further into the storyline. But during the beginning, you might want to keep Scatterbug in your deck. Below, we will tell you how to find and catch this pokemon in Paldea.

Pokemon Scarlet & Violet (SV): How to Find, Get & Catch Scatterbug?

As we mentioned before, Scatterbug is an early-game pokemon. You will be able to locate Scatterbug in the Southern region of Paldea in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet (SV). Once you begin the game, you will most like come across this grey worm-like pokemon in South Province (Area One). It is also possible to find and catch this pokemon during the tutorial where Nemona teaches you how to catch a pokemon.

Although you can use fire, rock, and flying-type pokemon against Scatterbug, we recommend you go with something weaker. This is because Scatterbug has quite low HP and your pokemon might obliterate it before you get a chance to use your Pokeball. Once you catch Scatterbug, you should immediately start leveling it up and evolve it into Vivillon. Then, it will become somewhat useful in your coming battles. Well, this brings us to the end of this article. We hope that you found it helpful. Stay tuned to Digi Statement, and happy gaming.
