Restart the App
Sometimes, technical glitches can cause routes to pause. Close the Pokemon GO app completely and then relaunch it. This simple restart may resolve the issue. If you want to go the extra mile, you can reboot your phone as well.
Check GPS Signal
It is no secret that Pokemon Go requires a strong internet connection with GPS permissions. So ensure that your device has a strong and stable GPS signal. Poor GPS connectivity can lead to route pausing or inaccuracies in your location. Stand in an open area or near a window to get a better signal.
Enable/Disable High Accuracy Location Mode
In your device’s location settings, look for the “High Accuracy” mode settings. This option uses GPS, Wi-Fi, and mobile networks to provide the most precise location data. Try enabling it to see if that solves the issue. And if it is already enabled, try disabling it. For some players, disabling this feature did the trick.
Disable Adventure Sync
To toggle off the Adventure Sync option in Pokemon Go, first, open the Pokemon GO app on your device. Next, locate and touch the Pokeball icon at the bottom of the screen. Now, look for the “Settings” option at the top-right corner of the screen and select it. Within the Settings menu, you’ll find the Adventure Sync option. Simply toggle it off to disable Adventure Sync. After this, check if the issue persists.
Reinstall the App
And if none of the above-mentioned workarounds solves the issue for you, the last thing left to do is uninstall the game completely and then reinstall it again. Hopefully, a clean installation is what is needed the most.
