Pokemon Go every Pokemon fleeing away, here’s why

Pokémon Go: Every Pokémon fleeing away, here's why

As of 24 July 2025, players of Pokémon GO noticed an absurdity in which Pokémon were fleeing from sight. While players discussed issues such as soft bans, glitches, or connectivity problems, it seemed to affect almost everyone. It was therefore deduced that the problem must be from the developers’ end. The gaming community took the issue to the discussion boards to express their concern. Apart from this, we have provided the outcomes of an experiment conducted to determine the flee rate of Pokémon.

This is not official data, but was rather done by a few users who wanted to find some correlation. In the game’s master file, every Pokemon has a base catch rate and a base flee rate. However, when it comes to actually catching a Pokemon, many other factors come into play beyond just the base rate. There were, however, no factors found other than the specific base flee rates of the Pokémon that affected its flee rate. Flee rates don’t depend on CP, berries, or any other factors other than the Pokémon’s base flee rate. Some users noted that the developers might be testing some changes that users should see during the upcoming events. It was being speculated that the changes had something to do with the game master file.

The issue, however, seems to have been fixed by the development team. They have also awarded compensation in the form of 50 Poke Balls that can be redeemed with the code POKEBALL50 which will work until August 1. Although resolved, this issue has raised several questions about the management of the developers’ team. Users expressed frustration with the compensation being too small compared to the losses suffered. Many people reported that they lost their free time and an opportunity to catch shiny, new Pokémon. The incident also foreshadows the upcoming Go Big and Go Bigger events that are around the corner. With doubts still lingering, players are now gearing up to participate in Max battles during the event.

That is all the information for now; however, Digistatement will keep covering the updates as they happen. Our motto is to serve you with the latest happenings in the virtual world.
