Pokémon Go is a well-known and popular mobile game that was developed in the year 2016 for Android and iOS by Niantic collaborating with Nintendo and The Pokémon Company. The game is a part of Pokémon franchise and uses mobile devices having GPS for locating, capturing, training and battling virtual creatures known as Pokémon and they appear like they exist in the real-world location of the players. The game can be accessed and played for free and has been using freemium business model along with local advertising and support for in-app purchases of extra in-game items.
The game was released with 150 species of Pokémon and had an increase to 600 species by 2020. It has been one of the most profitable apps in the year 2016 and it has been downloaded for more than 500 million times by the end of the year. The game was also embroiled in a controversy for its contribution to accidents and creation of public nuisance. Governments of many countries have expressed concerns related to the game and its impact and a few have also brought some regulations for its use. As of 2018, the game has 147 million active users on a monthly basis and billion downloads on a global basis since 2019.
But despite being a very popular game and being downloaded by millions of billions of people, the game has been facing some errors from a very long time. One of them has been the Error Code 6. Users said that the they successfully match up with an opponent but they are again kicked back to the battle menu and the Error 6 appears on their screen. A few others said that they recently updated the game but were unable to play at all because the Error 6 was appearing on screen. A user said that he was trying to battle in the battle field but his game froze at that moment and he was unable to continue.
