Recenlty, Pokemon Go added the Buddy Adventure feature in the game. The feature allows Buddy Pokemon to follow the trained or character on the map. Players can use this new feature with AR+ mode on & without it.
However, many reports suggest the crashing of AR+ mode and it is showing a black screen in the game. Also, many players are facing issues with Shared AR.
Well, After facing a backlash from the trainers around the world, Niantic officially acknowledged & addressed many AR related issues and released an official status regarding the same.

Shared AR Experiences Causes Crashing on Certain Devices
Issue Description: Players using certain devices that support AR Core or AR Kit are unable to successfully access all features in Shared AR Experiences. This issue occurs because not all devices compatible with AR Core or AR Kit are compatible with Shared AR Experiences.
Issue Status: A small number of devices that meet the above criteria were individually marked as incompatible due to performance issues discovered in testing.
Players May Not Be Able to See Other Trainers’ Buddies During a Shared AR Experience
Issue Description: Players may not be able to see other Trainers’ Buddy Pokémon during a Shared AR Experience
Workaround: First, try restarting the Pokémon GO app before starting a new Shared AR Experience. If the problem persists, leave the Shared AR Experience and wait a few minutes before trying again.

AR+ Mode Is Activated on Devices that Do Not Support AR Core or AR Kit
Issue Description: Devices that do not support AR+ Mode are activating AR+ Mode during Pokémon encounters and GO Snapshot, leading to crashes or a black screen.

AR+ Mode Is Activated on Android Devices that Do Not Have Updated or Installed AR Core
Issue Description: Android devices that support AR Core but do not have it installed or updated are activating AR+ Mode during Pokémon encounters and GO Snapshot, leading to crashes or a black screen.
Workaround: Ensure that “Google Services for AR” is installed and updated to the latest version on your app store. You can also toggle off “AR+” in the settings menu to use regular AR mode for our features while we investigate this issue.

Issue Description: Galaxy S10 Devices on Android 10 are experiencing crashes when using features in AR+ Mode.
Workaround: Toggle off “AR+” in the settings menu to use regular AR mode for our features while we investigate this issue.
