There are currently six of these Cursed Possessions in the game. Likewise, players can find any one of these objects in a hunt location. Each item can be photographed and you will receive money after completion of your ghost hunt. If a Cursed Possession is used, it can affect your sanity, therefore, it is very useful to learn about all of the items and how to use them efficiently.
How to use the Cursed Possession items :
The Summoning Circle –
Players can find this in any of the ghost hunting spots. Likewise, players can use this to get a photo of their ghost. However, it can only be used once. The process requires you to have a lighter to light all five red candles in the circle. Lighting all the candles can summon the ghost. Then, the ghost will stay motionless for 1 to 6 seconds without being able to kill players. However, it can start a Cursed Hunt on the spot after a certain grace period. Do note that sanity decreases when performing the summoning.
The Haunted Mirror –
This can be very useful in locating the Ghost room. Likewise, players can activate this mirror to locate a Ghost. This appears in the form of a sweeping panorama. Therefore, players can locate the Ghost room by cross-referencing the panoramic view. However, using the mirror rapidly decreases a player’s sanity. Consequently, a player’s sanity reaching zero causes the mirror to break. This results in the ghost starting a Cursed Hunt.
The Voodoo Doll –
Players can use this to force the ghosts to perform interactions. Likewise, interaction with the Voodoo Doll causes one of the 10 pins in the doll to push into it at random. Consequently, the ghost performs interaction with the movement of each pin. However, this drops the player’s sanity by 10% or 8% for a Demon. However, if you push the Heart pin of the Voodoo Doll, your Sanity drops by 20%, and it will immediately initiate a Cursed Hunt. Likewise, pushing in all the pins into the doll causes the ghost to enter a hunting phase. Use this item in the Ghost hunting area for better results.
The Ouija Board –
This is mainly for communication with a ghost. Likewise, players can ask questions to get definitive information from a ghost. However, this is at the cost of a player’s sanity. This item can be activated by clicking your left mouse button. Always make sure you are able to run when using it because a hunt can occur anytime. After communicating, you must say “Goodbye” before leaving. If you don’t, the board will break and a hunt will begin.
The Music Box –
Players can use this to pinpoint the location of the ghost. Likewise, players can use the Music Box to make the ghost sing along while remaining invisible. When the box is within 5 meters or less from the ghost, it causes the ghost to move towards it. Players can set the Music Box down with the Use Key and then turn it on with the Secondary Use Key, or F. While the Box plays, the ghost will begin to sing along. Consequently, the ghost enters into a hunting phase if it touches the Music box, walks for more than 5 seconds, or the player drops the box while the tune is playing. The use of the Music Box also causes a drop in the player’s sanity.
The Tarot Cards –
It is an item that can trigger random actions in both the players as well as nearby ghosts. Likewise, players can draw these cards from the deck. Players can pick them up like any other object by pressing E and also by pressing the primary Use button to draw a card. Each card has a unique effect on either the player or on the ghost when nearby. Players must draw cards inside the investigation area to make them work.
