Released on 16 Jun, 2025, the co-op climbing game PEAK is making all the buzz. As with any newly launched title, a few bugs and glitches are bound to appear as players explore its challenging world. But graphical issues like textures not loading could be one of the most unusual ones, as a player reported that they can’t see players’ heads and some of the lobby elements but only bodies moving around. But the good news is that the game devs have acknowledged this issue and also released a “small fix,” which has solved the issue for some players. Though there are still a few players who are currently facing the issue. In this guide, we have shared several workarounds to try out if you are still facing the issue.

Just reload the game
As game devs have recently released a small fix for this issue, simply close PEAK completely and then relaunch it. Developers often roll out these fixes when an issue can be resolved by providing the game with a fresh, clean state upon launch, allowing it to load all assets as intended. If you are still facing the issue, as a few other players also are, even after updating the game, then try out the next methods.
Basic Game Checks
Begin by restarting your PC to clear any temporary glitches, then verify the integrity of your game files through your launcher (like Steam) to ensure no data is corrupted, and try running the game as an administrator to ensure it has all necessary system permissions. To verify game files via Steam, go to Steam>Library>PEAK (right-click)>Properties>Installed Files>Verify Integrity of Game Files. Once the scan is complete, launch the game to check whether the issue persists.
Switch to the Vulkan launch option
A Steam user shared this temporary fix, which worked for their friend. It simply says to change the launcher option from DX12 to Vulkan. To do this manually—
- Open Steam and go to your Library.
- Right-click on Peak Game and select Properties.
- Under the General tab, find Launch Options.
- Type in: -vulkan
- Close the window and start the game.
Install Game on SSD
SSDs are quite faster than HDDs so if you have installed the game on a hard drive, it’s time to change its install location to an SSD. Once you do this, you will see a significant decrease in loading times and hopefully get rid of the texture not loading issue.
Wait for Permanent Fix
If the fix recently released by the developers has still not completely resolved the issue, it’s best to report the issue directly to the developers by sending a report to support@landfall.se. They might be able to provide you with additional assistance.
Well, those are all the workarounds we recommend you try out while waiting for a permanent fix. We hope you found this guide helpful. Also, make sure to visit DigiStatement regularly for more such guides on your favorite games.
