For example, if you want to catch the Gossamer Veil Moth in the game, a guide would be really helpful, as the list of creatures and their spawn locations in Palia is quite long. That said, in this guide, we have shared all the details regarding how you can get, find, and catch the Gossamer Veil Moth in Palia. So, if you are interested in catching this bug, consider reading till the end.
Catching different fish or catching certain insects is an integral part of Palia. The gameplay mechanism is a little complex and players are often at a loss regarding how to collect these creatures. Different insects spawn in different locations in the game. This makes it somewhat difficult for the players to memorize where they can find any particular insect or fish. Speaking of fish, for example, the largemouth bass can only be found in the Kilima Valley region of the game, near Kilima Lake. That said, where can you find the Gossamer Veil Moth in Palia, and how do you catch them? Let’s find out.
Palia Gossamer Veil Moth: How to Get, Find, & Catch?
The in-game description of the Gossamer Veil Moth is an intriguing one. It says,
The wings of this moth are so thin that some say you can see a peek of the Dragon Realm by looking through them.
While, of course, you can’t actually do that in the game, the Gossamer Veil Moth is still a useful catch. You’re going to require bug-catching skills if you want to catch this moth. You’ll need a belt and smoke bombs to catch the bugs, which you can get from Auni. Considering the fact that it is a rare category bug in the game, you’ll need to have higher-tier belts and upgraded smoke bombs from Auni to catch it.
Where to Find the Gossamer Veil Moth?
This bug exclusively spawns in the Kilima Valley region of the game. To be more precise, you’ll find this bug in the Kilima Fields biome, including the Leafhopper Hills and Reflection Fields. Furthermore, this moth is time-sensitive and will only appear during the evening and throughout the night (06:00 PM to 03:00 AM). You can identify these bugs by their blue wings and “furled, featherlike abdomen”.
How to Catch the Gossamer Veil Moth?
Like any moth, real or in-game, the Gossamer Veil Moth can fly. Once you step closer to this bug or throw a smoke bomb, the moth will be startled and will start to flee. Remember that it flies in a straight line and once it starts moving, it doesn’t stop. The way to stop and catch it? Keep throwing as many smoke bombs as possible, and eventually, you’ll catch it.
Is it useful?
First of all, once you catch the moth, you’ll receive 0–7 silk threads that you can use. But that’s not all. The base-quality version of this bug will sell for 130 gold, while the star-quality one will sell for 195 gold. You can also place the star-quality bug as decor in a small rectangular terrarium (3×3 size).
You’ll also gain experience from catching the Gossamer Veil Moth, which will add to the following achievements:
- Advanced Bug Catcher
- Expert Bug Catcher
- Master Bug Catcher
- My First Rare Bug
- Catch Bugs
Catching this bug will progress two collection achievements as well:
- Kilima and Bahari Bug Collector
- Master Kilima and Bahari Bug Collector
You can also use this moth to complete the Fairywind Bundle in Palia. Alternatively, this moth can be gifted to the following villagers: Auni, Elouisa, Jel, and Tamala. Currently, no villager has listed this bug as their “weekly want“.
