Quickbooks, an accounting software package developed and marketed by Intuit is currently facing an outage at many locations.
So, if you are trying to use Quickbooks and it is not working for you. Fret not, you are not alone as many Quickbooks users are also facing the same issue.

There is no official statement from Quickbooks officials regarding the ongoing outage & issues.

Quickbooks server status page says the following :
Error 504 when attempting to log into QuickBooks Online.
Investigating – Customers are reporting receiving error 504 (Bad Gateway) when attempting to log into their QuickBooks Online Account. We are aware of this issue and we are working on getting this issue resolved as soon as possible.
At this time we ask that you please attempt to log in after some time.
