Nokia 8 Sirocco January security patch rolling out now, Android 10 update awaited

Nokia 8 Sirocco was announced back in February 2018 by HMD global. The smartphone was initially launched with the Android 8 Oreo and as it is an Android One device, it got the Android 9 Pie update which is now an older version as Android 10 is are already out in the market for a few months. A lot of people are now asking for an Android 10 update for Nokia 8 Sirocco. However, the smartphone will receive the Android 10 update is Q1 2020 as per Nokia’s Android 10 update roadmap for its devices.

Coming to Know, Nokia 8 Sirocco has started to get the January 2020 security patch update. A Reddit user shared the screenshot of the update and as you can see in the image below the size of the update is 92.6 MB. The update just brings the new security patch and nothing else.

Note: The updates are rolled out in batches, so you will get the update anytime soon depending upon your location if you haven’t got it already.
