The Nintendo Switch is a hybrid handheld console from Nintendo. It is one of the best-selling Nintendo consoles of the last decade. Likewise, there is also a lite version of the Nintendo Switch. The Nintendo Switch has a docking system. Thus, the dock allows players to display their game on a TV monitor using the HDMI cable as well as charge the console. 1) First and foremost, always examine and confirm that your Nintendo Switch Dock has no faulty parts. This is the most obvious reason for the Dock not working properly. Always make sure that the Nintendo Switch Dock is in a good condition before moving to the next fix or workaround.

2) A bad or broken power cable can also be the cause of the Dock not working properly. Additionally, plugging in the power cable to a socket with a weak power supply causes issues. Therefore, always make sure that your Nintendo Switch’s power cable is in good condition and connected solely to a proper power supply.

3) Another workaround you can follow to fix the Nintendo Switch Dock not working properly is to perform a power cycle. To do this, Unplug both the HDMI cable as well as the power cable, press and hold the power button for 15 seconds, and wait for about 40 seconds before a fresh restart.

4) Plugging in the different cables in the wrong order can also cause the Nintendo Switch Dock to not work properly. Therefore, you can always try inserting the cable in the correct order. To do this, you have to plug in the power cable first, then the HDMI cable, and followed by docking the Switch handheld into the Dock.

5) The Nintendo Switch Dock not working properly can also be a result of a malfunctioning HDMI cable. Thus, it is important to always confirm that the HDMI cable is working properly. Likewise, you can do this by connecting it with another device like a laptop or computer to see whether it is working properly or not.
