Nightingale is one of the latest games to enter the early access program under Steam. Developed and published by Inflexion Games, it’s a PVE open-world survival crafting game where you will be taking on the role of a realmwalker, constructing your estate, harvesting resources, and, of course, going against fearsome creatures. Now, like most other early access titles, Nightingale also suffers from a myriad of issues and a major one happens to be the inventory disappearing issue.
Well, as the name suggests, there’s a bug that is making loot disappear from player’s inventories. Why is it happening? We don’t really know, as anything ranging from missing game files to something entirely else could be a cause here. Now, because it’s such a major issue, we can’t just ignore it. So, can this issue be fixed? Well, let’s go ahead and find out all about that.
Nightingale inventory disappearing issue troubling players: Is there any fix yet
The developers are indeed aware of this issue, so it’s only a matter of time before it’s fixed. Until then, you can try the following workarounds:
Restart –
First of all, we suggest that you start with the restart method. At times, a simple restart might be all you need to fix an issue like this, so give it a try. If the issue persists, switch to another workaround.
Select the glitched icon –
As we stated earlier, this also happens to be a visual glitch, and as such, we suggest that you try clicking on the glitched icon, and this should fix that. However, if even this doesn’t help, try the next workaround.
Verify and repair the game files –
Another fix for this issue is to simply verify and repair the game files. To do that, you just need to open Steam, navigate to Library, and find Nightingale in there. Once found, right-click on it and select Properties > Installed Files > Verify the integrity of game files. After the verification process is over, restart your PC and then launch the game.
Check basics –
Make sure that you didn’t accidentally press the transfer all button. Some players seem to have done just that, only to later realize their mistake. Besides this, we also recommend that you check all of your chests, as NPCs sometimes tend to stash items randomly.
Reinstall –
If you are okay with downloading the game once again, then we suggest that you use this method. However, note that even this might not be helpful, so only use this method if you want to. And if even this doesn’t help, then it would be better to wait for an official fix.
Well, that’s all the workarounds we have for this. Additionally, you can also take a quick look here if you want to know how to fix the unable to sort inventory bug in Baldur’s Gate 3.
