With its PlayStation 5 launch on July 13, 2023, Naraka: Bladepoint also switched to a free-to-play model. Originally released back on August 11, 2021, for Windows, the game was later made available for Xbox next year, in 2022. Now that PlayStation users can finally play the game, all that is left is a Nintendo Switch release, as it has already been confirmed for mobile. With Naraka: Baldepoint turning free-to-play, the game currently has a sizable number of new players. And if you are reading this guide, then you certainly must be one of them since you want to know about getting Hero Coins.
As of writing this article, there are 15 obtainable Heroes in Naraka: Bladepoint. That might not seem like a lot, but once you realize just how different all these characters are when it comes to their gameplay style and when you get to know just how long it takes to unlock one hero, you will understand why the roster is huge despite featuring only 15 characters. Anyway, follow this guide for everything you need to know about getting Hero Coins in Naraka: Bladepoint.
Naraka Bladepoint: How to get Hero Coins
Like most battle royale and free-to-play games, there are two ways in which you can unlock heroes in Naraka: Bladepoint. One is by using Gold bars, and the other is obviously the subject of this guide: Hero Coins.
Gold Bars are this game’s premium currency, one which you can only get by purchasing them from the shop using real-life money. This isn’t suitable for most players. That’s why the game also allows you to unlock heroes using hero coins. Like most hero-centric multiplayer titles, there are multiple ways to earn Hero Coins in Naraka: Bladepoint.
One of the easiest ways is to simply convert Tae (in-game currency) into Hero Coins. You can exchange 120 Tae for 1 Hero Coin. If you have many Tae saved up, then just head over to the Shop, and from there, navigate to the Item section. Once there, you will notice the “Hero Coin” option with the Tae symbol beneath it. Click on it and convert your Tae into Hero Coins. You can also convert Gold Bars into Hero Coins. Unlike Tae, it only takes about six Gold Bars to get one Hero Coin. In order to unlock just one Hero in Naraka: Bladepoint, you would need a total of 100 Hero Coins or 600 Gold bars.
Any other ways to get Hero Coins?
Yes, there are. If you log in to the game regularly, you will receive 100 Hero Coins on Day 2. And, on Day 7, you will get 65 Hero Coins. This can be redeemed via the Journey’s Dawn menu (The Beginning Day). You can also get more hero coins by completing quests featured in the Early Ventures section (Journey’s Dawn menu).
Additionally, when you complete Chapter II: Grappling Hook and Chapter V: Counter in the Specialized Practice of the Training, you will receive 50 Hero Coins for each. The Battle Pass also rewards quite a few Tae Coins, which can be later converted to Hero Coins.
Note: Hero Coins have a purchase limit of 168 hours (7 Days or a week) after using Tae Coins to purchase them. Gold Bars on the other hand don’t.
