In April 2023, video game development studio Scopely released their latest title, Monopoly Go! Launched for mobile devices only, the game has already achieved more than 10 million downloads since its release. Popularly known for developing titles like Marvel Strike Force: Squad RPG and Looney Tunes World of Mayhem, Scopely has done a good enough job of supporting Monopoly Go! so far. At the time of publishing this article, the game is hosting its own summer event called – Sun-kissed Fun: Dive into Summer! Needless to say, Monopoly Go! is a success for Scopely, as evidenced by the game’s good reception and downloads. The game has been receiving constant updates while enjoying a variety of events. Now, thanks to the popularity of Monopoly Go!, there are a lot of new arrivals from both fans of the board game and curious players. And one of them must be you if you are reading this article and searching for a way to change or alter profile pictures in the game.
Profile pictures, or avatars, are now intrinsic to most multiplayer games in the gaming world. Plus, they are kind of mandatory at this point for both players and developers. While not having the ability to change your profile picture is in no way a deal-breaker, it’s still important. And many players do love having profile pictures in their games. Monopoly Go! also has a profile picture feature. And many players have been looking for a way to change or alter their profile pictures in the game. So, how do you do it? Let’s find out!
Monopoly Go: How to Change/Alter Profile Picture
Don’t worry too much about changing or altering your profile pictures in the game. It’s quite easy and will take only a minute or so if you follow our instructions thoroughly. To start, open the game, and on the main menu, click on the hamburger menu located at the top right corner of the screen. Next, click on your profile picture to proceed. At first, your profile picture will be a default or pre-assigned one, which you can change as per your liking. However, there’s a pretty big caveat to that. Unlike some other games, you can’t directly change your profile picture. Instead, you will have to use your Facebook account.
In the same profile picture menu, you will see a “Facebook” button below. Click on it, and the game will ask you to log in to your Facebook account. Sign in and then give the game permission to use your Facebook account. Doing so will apply the profile picture of your Facebook Account to Monopoly Go. In the future, if you want to change or alter your profile picture in Monopoly Go once again, then change it first on your Facebook account.
