Minecraft is one of the most played online multiplayer titles that houses a lot of servers to keep the game up and running. However, sometimes they often run into issues thereby making the game unplayable. Whether it be a public or a private server, you can host your own world where you call the shots. You can add a few chosen players to your realm server to make the experience more enjoyable and build a passionate community, however, you’ll have to pay a subscription to keep your server active. Lately, many players raised the issue that Minecraft Realms are not working and are frustrated with it. Whitelisting simply refers to the means by which you grant or refuse access to other Minecraft players on your server. You can navigate settings in the game and choose on adding people (whitelist) that are approved by you to play on your server. Lately, due to unknown reasons whether it be server issues or a bug, many of the player bases of Minecraft are unable to whitelist realms in the game. Fortunately, the community discovered two fixes that helped them solve the issue and we’ve mentioned them below. With that being said, check out the two fixes for Realms not whitelisted error in Minecraft.

Minecraft Realms not Whitelisted error: Fixes & Workarounds

After much trial and error, the potential workarounds to fix the whitelisting error in Minecraft have been found. Check out the fixes below.

Verify the version of your game

If you’re getting Realms whitelisted error in Minecraft, make sure to check the version of the game you are running. For that, we’ve mentioned fixes for both Bedrock and Java Edition so try them out and see if it works out for you or not.

Java Version

  • Navigate to the “Game Panel” and from there, launch the console located on the left and type “whitelist on” and press the “Enter” button. The issue should be fixed.

Bedrock Version

  • Launch the “Game Panel” and then try to deactivate the server. Now, on the left side of the panel, go to “config files” and then “server settings”
  • Look for the “whitelist” option on it and once you do, change its value from false to true and save the changes.

Reopen the Realm

If for some reason the abovementioned fix fails to work, the next thing that you can try is to reopen the realm. Minecraft has a weird glitch that prevents players from entering a specific server despite being whitelisted and re-entering it should work out for you. If not, you might have to wait for an update from the developer’s end to remedy the issue.
