Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 VR Support: Is it Available?

The Microsoft Flight Simulator series is one of the longest-running video game series on PC. The legacy continues yet further as we have the announcement on the next title of this fan-favorite series. Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 is coming out on November 19, 2024, for players on Windows PCs and the Xbox Series X/S, along with Xbox Game Pass. Developed by Asobo Studio and published by Xbox Games Studios, this new title has already gained popularity among fans. Of course, the higher the popularity grows, the more questions start arising. Fans want to find out everything about the game beforehand. Of course, one of the main concerns is whether or not Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 will have VR support. If you’re excited to find out more about this, don’t skip reading this article till the end.

Microsoft Flight Simulator series is the best choice for players who love flying aircraft. With the emergence of VR technology, the gaming experience has been really heightened. Players now don’t just play the game; they live it and experience it. This makes VR support quite a popular feature in different game genres. Especially for games that support realistic graphics and smoother gameplay, VR mode can really be the secret ingredient to alleviate the experience. The Flight Simulator titles from Microsoft fit all these criteria. This is why players are so eager to find out if Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 will have VR support. So, without further ado, let’s find out more!

Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 VR Support: Is it Available?

Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 VR Support

The most recent release date trailer video for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 hit YouTube on June 10th. The game, at least for now, looks really promising. Exciting visuals and new flight modes, including aerial firefighting—the game has everything that it needs to succeed. So what about VR support? Will you get to experience this latest flight simulator on your VR device? Let’s see what the developers have to say about it.

VR Support Confirmed!

So, truth be told, there isn’t any update listed in writing on the VR support situation in Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024. The game’s official website says nothing on the matter and even the trailer videos didn’t give us any clues. With this big silence all around, one should just give up on the hope of getting VR support for this game, right?

Well, not really, no. Yes, we don’t have any update from the developers yet, but there’s another factor that we have to consider here. The last title in the series, Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020, did actually come with VR support. Since MFS 2020 offers this feature quite successfully, there’s no reason they’ll exclude it from the upcoming game. In fact, don’t take our word for it. Martial Bossard, the Executive Director, has confirmed that Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 is going to continue with VR support. Here’s what they had to say about the situation:

“What I can tell you is that VR users are going to have a hell of an experience, it’s spectacular”

Here’s the live stream clip shared by VR Flight Sim Guy:

So, any bit of worry that the fans may have had has been vanquished by the developers themselves. Now you can breathe easy knowing that you can continue enjoying your favorite title on VR without any problem.

Well, this was all we knew about the availability of VR support in Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024. We hope that you find this article informative. If you enjoyed reading this article and want to continue reading more gaming content, keep visiting DigiStatement!
