While Legion Go is pretty easy to set up, there are some things that many don’t know how to do. And one of them happens to be updating and installing a new BIOS.
BIOS updates are quite important since they improve stability along with adding new features. Lenovo Legion Go: How to update & install new Bios?
Updating your BIOS will be an easy task if you follow the instructions below. So, look at the instructions carefully and thoroughly.
- First, head over to this website on your Legion Go and download the latest BIOS update.
- Once the download is done, open File Manager on your Legion Go and double-click on it.
- Click on Next when you see Proceed with the BIOS update now?
- You will see a few warnings, following which you once again need to press Next.
- Now connect your charger to the Legion Go and hit Next.
- Wait for the Legion Go to finish the process.
- Next, log in to your Legion Go.
Accessing BIOS and editing settings
- To access BIOS first, you need to shut down the device.
- Next, hold down the power button and volume-up button simultaneously until the Novo Boot Menu comes up on screen.
- Once the boot menu comes up, select BIOS Setup and select More Settings.
- Now, if you want to increase your VRAM size, switch to Configuration and scroll down until you find UMA Frame Buffer Size.
- Click on the drop-down menu, and you will see four options: 3G, 4G, 6G, and 8G. Choose however much VRAM size you want.
- Now, if you want to enable BIOS Flashback, scroll a bit, and you will come across the BIOS Back Flash option. Click on the drop-down menu and choose Enabled.
- Once you are done editing the BIOS, switch to the Exit tab and click on Exit Saving Changes.
To check that Legion Go is using your selected VRAM size, hold on Start and open Run. Then type in dxdiag and click OK. Switch to the Display tab and you will see the VRAM size in the Display Memory (VRAM) option.
