The Knight Squad series came with a lot of hype and Chainsawesome Games was able to bring the hype. To put it in simple words, Knight Squad is an 8 players top-down Bomberman meets Gauntlet game. Players get to engage in intense sword fights with their friends where one hit is enough to change the game, make the difference and take anyone down. The second sequel of the game came out on the 17th of December, 2020.
For the game makers, one of the greatest additions introduced in the sequel was providing players with the ability to customize matches with unique gameplay modifiers and a complete item switch menu. As a result, gamers get to pick and choose items which power-ups they prefer to appear on the field along with the ones your knights will spawn with. Some combinations include:
Exploding Gladiator: Gladiator Mode + Exploding Bodies
In Gladiator mode, the goal is to keep possession of the middle golden region longer than your opponents. It’s difficult to find a secure position in that zone when the bodies of fallen knights erupt. This game type puts your blocking and placement skills to the test.
Shield War: Battle Royale Mode + Only Shields Power-Ups
Survival is the name of the game in a battle royale, and Knight Squad’s one-hit death system makes responsiveness a big element of the game. The shield power-up allows you to take an extra hit and adds a strategic element to fighting.
Unicorn League: Soccer Mode + Starter Unicorn & Slippery Floor
Two teams of knights attempt to launch a ball into an opposition goal while riding swift unicorns in a slick arena in this blood sport. Guaranteed hilarity. This mode also unlocks a hidden (and quite intense) music!
Classic Knight Squad: Capture the Grail + No Buckler & No new items
Knight Squad 3 Release Date for Windows (PC), Xbox Series X & Nintendo Switch
Looking at the recent launch of Knight Squad 2, it would be very difficult to predict a release date. Although a sequel to be followed needs to be addressed by Chainsawesome Games. If due, the Knight Squad 3 can potentially come across 2023-2025. For more such content, read DigiStatement.
