Reviews for the game have been pretty positive, with critics praising its game design and engaging combat. All in all, it is a great sequel and an amazing title on its own. Well, like any newly released game, it also has certain aspects that some players are finding hard to comprehend. And if you are reading this article, then you must be one of the many who want to know how to train the Militia in Jagged Alliance 3. If so, consider reading this guide until the end.
Training your militia is one of the many important aspects of the game. Although the game is a tactical role-playing game (TRPG), it does incorporate many aspects of strategy and management. That’s one of the reasons why it’s so popular right now. Your mercenaries are certainly important, but so are your militias, and training them will be very helpful to you later in the game. So, here’s a guide that will help you train your militia in Jagged Alliance 3.
Jagged Alliance 3: How to Train Militia
To train militias in Jagged Alliance 3, you can start by clicking on the Operations button in the Strategic Map screen. This will bring up a menu in which you will be presented with six sub-options to choose from:
- Treat Wounds
- Scout Area
- Militia Training
- Train Mercs
- R&R
- Repair Items
From the aforementioned sub-options, select the “Militia Training” sub-option. Now it’s time for you to select a merc who will train your militia. You can select up to two mercs for this process, and we suggest you assign two since this will increase the speed of training but will cost more. When it comes to who to select for training militias, it’s generally recommended to opt for mercs with great “Leadership” and “Loyalty” skills. Once selected, click on the Start button located below to proceed with militia training.
Why train Militias?
The reason Jagged Alliance 3 lets you train militias is because they are kind of important. Why? Because you will be running a mercenary group and not a band of superheroes. You can’t just liberate a city or location and expect that area to remain under your control until the end of the game. The enemy regularly attacks areas under your control to recapture them. And your mercs can’t be there all the time. That’s why recruiting and training militias is so important. Militias help you protect sites already under your control.
Militia Training unlocks pretty early on in the game after you liberate the Village of Ernie. So, go out there, capture locations, and train militias to aid your fight against the enemy. That said, we certainly hope that this guide has helped you get to know everything about training your militia in Jagged Alliance 3. For more guides like this, don’t forget to bookmark DigiStatement.
