Jagged Alliance 3: How to get & find Diamonds
Running a mercenary group isn’t easy in the game. Players need a constant supply of equipment, med kits, as well as capable mercenaries, in order to fight the enemy. And one thing that you need to achieve all these things is money. Without a constant and ample supply of it, you will not be able to advance through the campaign at all. And one of the best ways to secure funds is by selling diamonds.
Like in real life, Diamonds in Jagged Alliance 3 are sourced from mines, but they are not limited to mining only. Currently, there are a total of three Diamond types in the game. These are:
- Small Diamonds, as the name suggests, are the smallest of the three types. These are also the most common ones you will find during your runs. Players will get them from various locations connected to quests and other places. A small diamond will net you $500.
- Big Diamonds, on the other hand, go for about $5000. However, this is a rare item. Players will receive them through important quests and locations.
- Diamond Shipment gives the biggest payout. One of these will fill your account with around $12,000. Now, unlike the previous two, these require quite a bit of planning. On your map, you might have noticed a suitcase symbol with a diamond on it. These are special convoys. Plan an attack on them, defeat the enemy, and get your own Diamond Shipment.
What about Diamond Mines?
If you want a steady income, capturing a diamond mine is the best way to ensure that. In fact, it’s suggested to capture one as early as possible (only if you are confident about your plans and abilities). There’s a diamond mine located in H7, so you can take control of it.
If you want to increase your daily income from the mines, try liberating surrounding cities, as money generation is also dependent on the loyalty of the citizens in nearby cities. Another thing you should note here is that you can’t just take control of a diamond mine and then move on to other ones without thinking about protecting the previous mine. If you do that, your mines will be recaptured pretty quickly. That’s why we suggest you guard them with militias.
